The Serengeti ecosystem is huge, stretching to about 24,000 kilometers squared of land. The Kenyan part of the ecosystem is known as the Masai Mara National Reserve, famous for harbouring all of the Big 5 - Lions, African Elephants, Leopards, Cape Buffalos, and Black Rhinos. In addition to those species, there are a multitude of other species residing in Masai Mara, as it's also known for it's amazing biodiversity.
While it has great biodiversity, the Masai Mara National Reserve is predominantly a grassland with seasonal riverlets and clumps of Acacia Trees.
